IELTS রিডিং এ মোট ০৩টি Passages থাকে। মোট প্রশ্ন থাকে ৪০ টা সময় ০১ ঘণ্টা। প্রতিটা পেসেজ এর জন্য সময় ২০ মিনিট করে। কিন্তু হিসেবটা আসলে এভাবে হবে না। কারণ তিনটা পেসেজের ডিফিকালটি লেভেল ভিন্ন। প্রথম পেসেজটা তুলনামূলকভাবে সহজ, পরেরটা একটু কঠিন, আর শেষেরটা মোটামুটি জটিল। তাই প্রথম পেসেজ ১৫ মিনিটের মধ্যে শেষ করার চেষ্টা করা উচিত। এরপরেরটা ২০ মিনিট আর শেষেরটা ২৫ মিনিটে। রিডিং সেকশনে আনসার সাথে সাথে আনসার স্ক্রিপ্টে তুলে ফেলতে হবে। কারণ লিসেনিং এর মত এক্ষেত্রে আনসার ট্রান্সফার করার জন্য আলাদা কোন টাইম দেয়া হয় না। আপনি যদি কাউকে প্রশ্ন করেন IELTS এর সবচেয়ে কঠিন অংশ কোনটি? সবাই এক বাক্যে বলবে Reading। সত্যি বলতে আমরা রিডিং কে যতোটা কঠিন মনে করি রিডিং এতটাও কঠিন না। Cambridge ১০ থেকে ২০ বইগুলো আপনার রিডিং প্রিপারেশনের জন্য যথেষ্ট । Reading skill বাড়ানোর জন্য প্রতিদিন ইংরেজি গল্প, পত্রিকা, ম্যাগাজিন মনোযোগ দিয়ে নিয়মিত পড়তে হবে। Lexical Resource বাড়ানোর জন্য আপনি Cambridge বইয়ের প্যাসেজ থেকে শব্দ নোট করে পড়তে পারেন।
